These are our 12mm raised solid delrin rear subframe bushings. These are meant for your all out track, autocross or drift E30 monster. Like our "standard" solid Delrin E30 rear subframe bushings, these are the ultimate upgrade. However these bushings are a little different because they raise the rear subframe 12mm. Why do this? Because when an e30 is lowered, the camber in the rear is often times excessive. This can lead to premature camber wear for your tires. From a performance perspective, that could mean that you have less tire on the ground. Less tire touching the ground = less power being put down.
The 12mm raised subframe bushings reduces camber by 4.0 - 4.5 degrees (better for a street application). Average change is from -5 degrees to -1.5 degrees (depends on suspension setup). The standard subframe bushing kit does not change camber (better for a track application).
These raised solid delrin rear subframe bushings are for high performance race vehicles only. They solid mount the rear subframe to the chassis removing all flex from the suspension. This will make the subframe not able to deflect and move in all kinds of unwanted directions. Pair these up with our solid rear trailing arm bushings for a no compromise track setup. These are much stiffer then the oem units (75D) which will cause some NVH. Includes everything needed for installation. Includes both bushings as well as aluminum sleeves. These will reduce play in the suspension substantially compared to old and mushy bushings. These are the "12mm raised" bushings. Why should I replace the rear subframe bushings in my e30?
The rear subframe in the E30 is often the most neglected on project cars. Not only are they notorious for going bad, but when they do, the subframe will move around causing the rear end of the car to become unstable and at times unpredictable. This is often paired with annoying clunking sounds and creaks. From a performance aspect having a loose subframe messes with your suspension's alignment and settings. The solid rear bushings make for better suspension alignment and tighter feel. WILL increase roadnoise if used on a street car. Price for 1 pair of mounts (includes races).
A NOTE WHEN INSTALLING RAISED SUBFRAME BUSHINGS:
When installing Garagistic raised subframe bushings the differential mounting must also be taken into consideration. Since we are raising the subframe up within the chassis this also affects the differential position. There are two options for differential mounting with raised subframe bushings. The first is to simply run an offset differential bushing. This will allow the differential to be mounted to the subframe as factory and still allow the hole in the differential bushing to line up with the factory bracket. The second option is to install extended studs and spacers. This will effectively space the differential back down 12mm from the raised subframe. This will allow the use of a standard centered differential bushing as it keeps the differential in factory alignment with both the bracket and the driveshaft. We have used both methods with success on street and track applications.
