WHAT ARE 95A POLY REAR TRAILING ARM BUSHINGS?
These 95a E30 rear trailing arm bushings are meant for Auto-x and track applications without the associated "harshness" of solid Delrin mounts. These can be used in street performance cars, but some NVH will be added. The stock rubber trailing arm bushings deflect and allow the rear semi-trailing arms to move in all kinds of unwanted directions. These 95a rear trailing arm bushings maintain stock suspension geometry, keep noise to a minimum and will outlive rubber bushings. These are much stiffer than the OEM rubber but great for street application. Includes everything needed for installation. The 95a RTABS are the firmest of the poly bushings; bushings for all 4 connecting points on the trailing arms as well as steel sleeves. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF E30, Z3, AND BMW 2002 POLY REAR-TRAILING ARMS?
These poly rear trailing arm bushings maintain stock suspension geometry; These are much stiffer than the OEM units (95D) which will cause some NVH. Includes everything needed for installation. Bushings for all 4 connecting points on the trailing arms as well as steel sleeves. We touched on the benefits of BMW poly rear trailing arm bushings above. When looking for a nice compromise between street and track...go poly. Now, what exactly is Polyurethane? They are a group of organic polymers that are normally grouped with rubber. The variation of polymers can be manipulated to various durometers and physical properties to work with most any application. Poly bushings have the ability to absorb a great strain and a substantial amount of trauma without permanently deforming, UHMW and Delrin bushings tend to be not as forgiving. Poly bushings are resistant to water, oil, gasoline, salt, antifreeze, and most solvents. Why poly bushings over rubber? Rubber is subject to degrade with the introduction of any solvent; that means your little oil leak on your E30 will degrade your bushings over time. Our Poly RTABS are ~20% lighter than rubber bushings.
QUICK NOTE ABOUT USING OLD TRAILING ARM BOLTS OR ALUMINUM RACES:
Please keep in mind when shopping around for trailing arm bushings that a lot of competitors use aluminum for the race instead of steel. This is not a good idea. Nothing that rotates should be aluminum. It will wear. It's softer than steel. Your BMW OEM race was steel. So is ours. Another note regarding hardware and tolerances. We make our products compatible with our other parts as well as competitors. For example, these trailing arm bushings need to not only be compatible with our camber and toe kit (which requires BMW OEM eccentric Hardware) but with competitors as well. The bolt diameter on the eccentric hardware (OEM BMW) for those who make their rear subframe adjustable using our camber and toe kit (while they have the subframe out) is bigger than the old OEM e30 hardware (which could possibly be worn as well). So for this reason, we recommend that you replace your old, worn, tired and small stock hardware for bigger (and tighter fitting) hardware which you can find in the options list above. This is optional. However, it's a great way to get an even more precise feel in the trailing arms you can't get from other kits out there. Do it once, do it right. Kit includes 10.9-grade bolts, washers, and even nylon locking nuts. Everything for install.

With heat, age, and oil leaks and other solvents leaking on your rubber bushings, they inevitably decay/erode resulting in decreased performance and ride quality in your bimmer; your cornering will suffer because of it along with many other things.
